T Scarlett Johansson explained that she’s just like every other woman when it comes to body insecurities.

In an interview with ITV1′s Daybreak morning show in the U.K. earlier this week (April 24), the blonde beauty spoke about her intense workouts to get into her body hugging Black Widow cat suit in “The Avengers,” saying, “First of all, every woman has body worries. I’m not exempt from that, but beyond part of the by-product of spending that much time in the gym is that you can fit into a cat suit.”

Although the payoff of fitting into the sexy outfit is reason enough to work out, Johansson explained that the physical activity also helped her in performing her own stunts in the action-packed new film.

The 27-year-old actress said that working with stunt-double Heidi Moneymaker was “a lot of training and dedication,” but it all paid off in the end, expanding, “It hurts and it hurts and then suddenly it doesn’t hurt, and you’re getting it right, and it’s a great moment ? you feel like you’ve accomplished something big.”

The Joss Whedon directed comic book-based film also stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson.

Anyway, I know my LA update is WAY overdue (and truth be told I wrote a long one last week but for some reason it didn’t save so I lost the whole thing and I was so angry that I just said, “Ah, f*ck it,” and closed the computer instead of rewriting) but to give you a quick update, I AM SO HAPPY HERE. I MEAN, I’M REALLY, REALLY HAPPY. And I think living here and watching HGTV—both of these things combined—has made me realize that New York was just beating me down. I mean, the fireplace lady—yes, she’s an idiot. But there’s nothing wrong with wanting a dining room table. Why did I get so mad at that lady?

Since being here, at least once a day I ask myself why I have lived in New York for so long. (It’s like I had Stockholm Syndrome or something.) CALIFORNIA IS AWESOME. It’s like the promised land. It’s sunny all the time and there are birds and flowers everywhere. I have space out here. I have a sofa on the patio out here. I HAVE A SOFA OUTSIDE. I haven’t seen one rat since I’ve been here. But hummingbirds? THEY ZIP BY MY HEAD EVERY DAY. I am so happy.

I’m supposed to go back to New York in November, but truth be told, I’m not sure I will.

?I?ve been singing properly every day since I was about fifteen or sixteen and I have never had any problems with my voice, ever. I?ve had a sore throat here and there, had a cold and sung through it, but that day it just went while I was onstage in Paris during a radio show. It was literally like someone had pulled a curtain over it.? She flew to London the next morning to see her doctor and was diagnosed with acute laryngitis. After a couple weeks? rest, she continued her European tour, came to America, and then her voice went again in May. ?That was a hemorrhage… a burst blood vessel on my vocal cord. That healed, I did a tour, and then it happened again at my best friend?s wedding on October 1.?

On getting support through her surgery from other artists:
?John Mayer had it done at the same time as I did and he really helped me be chilled out about it. Roger Daltrey?s had loads of stuff done; Steven Tyler reached out; Elton John. Lots of artists have had problems with their voices, but you don?t know about it. And they are still singing incredibly well in their 50s and 60s.?

On her six Grammy nominations:
?I burst into tears when I found out. And I would love, absolutely love, to win. This record is coming to an end, and that would be the final brick on it.?
